Brittany Seymour, DDS, MPH

Dr. Brittany Seymour is a dentist, Associate Professor, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She has completed Executive Coaching on Positive Leadership and the Harvard Learning Center’s series on Leadership Effectiveness. She has a certificate in Managing Happiness from the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Public Leadership, part of the Harvard EdX university learning initiative. After five years in private practice, she transitioned to a full-time academic career in global health at Harvard and has helped create oral health programs around the world where dental services otherwise were not available. Examples of her work include starting the first dental school in Rwanda, reforming dental training in Vietnam, and implementing novel education programs for the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa’s 47 member nations. Building from her own fulfilling career path, she transitioned to Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs to support the goals and aspirations of her fellow colleagues in their career journeys. Today, she leads career mentorship, research development, and professional advancement programs for more than 300 faculty members at Harvard with a focus on positive team collaboration, leadership, innovation, and impact.
